Psychiatrist George Greer is a Co-Founder and the Medical Director of the Heffter Research Institute. In 1986, he and his psychiatric nurse wife, Requa Tolbert Greer, published the first study of the therapeutic use of MDMA. In 2014, he published the first study of psychiatric treatment with cannabis, for PTSD. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Past President of the Psychiatric Medical Association of New Mexico.
